Either Very Confused or Painfully Uninformed

I was on Yahoo!Answers trying to get some help about a game, and of course asking a question docks your points so I answered a few to gain them back. I then came across this little gem here;

"Why do atheist bash Christians?"

Ahem. What.

The original question reads as follows;
"For some reason atheist are so hypocritical. they say "Dude stop trying to force you're religion on everyone" AND THEN all the do is try to do the exact same thing. either by bashing the hell out of Christianity or just doing exactly what they contradict by forcing their religion down peoples throat. (Yes Atheism is a religion) i just don't get it. so much ignorance."
And later, they edited their question to also say this as well;
"wow still so much ignorance. first off i didn't bash any Atheist. it doesn't bother me at all. i love EVERYONE regardless. i just always seem to experience hateful remarks from Atheist about my beliefs even if i don't say or mention religion. and i didn't say a curse word. i said "Hell" which is in te bible and therefor can't be claimed as a curse word. like i said SO MUCH IGNORANCE
Yes atheism is a religion. Believers in atheism pin their faith on unscientific theories of how all things began. They generally worship their false science. A lot seem to also worship themselves considering themselves as God's. In actual fact though if you are not worshiping the one true God, then you are giving your allegiance to Satan. They also believe in evolution which is nothing more than an unproven , unprovable theory. You really have to envy there faith though, for it takes much more faith to believe in the evolutionary lie than it does to believe in God and His Creation."

So I'm still practicing being more tactful towards people like this, and left this as an answer;

"Here, maybe you need a little assistance with this from an actual Atheist.
(1) There are assholes on both sides. Obsessive Christians attack Atheists and Obsessive Atheists attack back. If only we could just be peaceful with one another...but there you go then.
(2) Please find a dictionary. The literal meaning of "atheism" is "without theism" or "without a religion." We don't all put our faith in the same scientific ideas and theories; we have the liberty of choosing what we believe and what morals we follow.
And this is just an opinion from me, but you claim to not want to offend anybody and then you turn around and call our structure of belief "lies." I have a feeling you actually fished for all these "attacks" on your beliefs by atheists you've run across. So a bit of advice? Why not keep religion to yourself for a little while and talk to people about things of less depth; you might find a lot of new friends that way."

I'm proud of my own response, but there were definitely some colorful ones up there. Like these.

Just thought I'd share this with you guys; it's about time I posted a blog that wasn't about a petition of some sort.
